Lisette Mibo Wins Best Female Model of the Year at the Congolese Achievement Awards 2013

It was the first ever Congolese Achievement Awards and it was a night to remember as citizens and friends of Congo stood side by side with industry professionals, celebrities, and top models to celebrate and recognize the top Congolese talents doing incredible things across the world. Held at the Selby Centre in North London, the 1st Congolese Achievement Awards – in association with The Kams Show honoured the men and women who made their own paths against all odds and under a difficult economic climate. One of the winners who caught our attention was no other than Congolese top Model and BEFFTA Awards recipient for Model of The Year 2012 Lisette Mibo who was awarded the Best Female Model of the Year on the night.
Lisette who became the 2nd Congolese Model to grace our digital covers last year after Samar Khoury was in total shock and was humbled by the award – in her own words, “I would love to thank everyone for their support and also to thank Mr. Albert Martincich, the talented fashiondesigner who gladly accepted to dress me for this award ceremony. I now know how it feels like to WIN, but before that I also knew how it felt like to LOOSE. However, it’s how I responded and behaved towards my defeats, which has made me a deserving WINNER today“
The Congolese Achievement Awards is an event created by The Boss Brothers and the number 1 objective of the platform is to celebrate the talents and professionals of CongoleseHeritage living in the Diaspora.
